Hello,
Has anyone here investigated using tools such as Perfecto
http://www.perfectomobile.com to perform accessibility testing on iPhone,
Android and/or BlackBerry devices?

I have used both Perfecto Mobile and Device Anywhere for functional testing
rather than accessibility testing. It was a truly awful experience in both
cases.
There was massive latency, which to some extent will be because we are in
the UK and those companies are in the USA. The screen was only refreshing
once or twice a second so it was impossible to view moving content and
interact with it.
We were unable to use some phones because we could not work out how to
unlock them! Not all the buttons could be operated on some phones. There are
security issues too, which may be a consideration for some people. Perfecto
Mobile simply say that you cannot assume there is any security. Device
Anywhere say that each session is private and that the devices are wiped
after use. However, on one occasion I somehow found myself sharing someone
else's session! I could see everything they were doing but I could not
control the device. The other person was obviously unaware I could see
everything they were doing.
I reckon that it took three times as long to do any given task than it would
take with a real device in your hand. We have therefore chosen to buy a lot
of phones and tablets - we have more than 30 and we buy more every couple of
weeks.
Anyone on this list is welcome to come to our Test Centre in central London
and use the devices free of charge whenever they want.
