Dear all,
Following on from the Accessible Form Element Builder tool, I have built
another accessibility helper tool.
This time it's tables that get the Lloydi treatment:
http://www23.brinkster.com/favelets/accessible-table-builder-intro.htm
http://www23.brinkster.com/favelets/accessible-table-builder.htm
The tool first asks how many colums you want, and from there on you can set:
* all the usual table properties (padding spacing etc)
* table summary
* table caption
* whether to pre-fill cells with spaces
* how many rows are required
and for each column you can set a heading, width and abbreviated heading.
The code generated can also be previewed in a new window, with the option of
viewing with a selection of very simple style sheets.
It automatically places the necessary header and id attributes as well as
thead, tbody elements
As usual, a link from yourselves (if you have your own sitea) would be
appreciated. I think it has value - to my mind, no-one else is making these
kind of tools available on the web for free. I guess it's only a matter of
time before all the software manufacturers are up to speed on this.
Anyway, hope you like!
