Hi,

where we have the text "£9.99", VoiceOver is reading "pound, nine nine nine" which means something rather different to what is there. It is treating the decimal point as a full stop. This is just plain text, we aren't doing anything special. Looking at some other large retailers, it appears that it isn't just our site that has the problem. Is there a better way to mark up prices, or is it a bug in VoiceOver?

Thanks,
Dawn

This is expected behavior and you should not change your coding. Changes can be made in the voice over settings so that the decimal will be read. This is controllable by the user. People who use VoiceOver regularly will be familiar with how the software functions and will understand the content.
