Hello all. I'm wondering if anyone else is running into this possible bug in Word or Acrobat DC Pro. When I have a table in Word and I use the Design->Header Row option, it does not give me TH cells after I convert to PDF using the Acrobat Plug-in. When I also select the Repeat Header Row option in the Layout tab, ALL the cells in the Table get converted to TH, not just the header cells. Using Word 2016 for Windows and Acrobat Pro DC.

I'm not getting that behaviour in current versions of Word
(v16.0.11328.202220) 32-bit and almost current version of Acrobat Pro DC
continuous release (v2019.010.20098). It looks like there is a new
update available for Acrobat dated today (v2019.010.20099), but I did
not let it install just now.

I just did a few quick tests.

Using the Acrobat Pro conversion engine (via Save As PDF or the Button
in the Ribbon), I get TH tags correctly applied to the first row only
when Repeat Headers is selected, and no checkboxes are selected in the
Design tab in the Ribbon.

If I additionally select the "Header Row" checkbox in the Table Style
Options in the Table Design tab in the Ribbon, there is no change.

However, if I select both "Header Row" and "First Column" AND Repeat
Header Rows, then I end up with TH's in the first row as well as TH's in
the first column.

And if I select ONLY "First Column" and don't select Repeat Header Rows,
then I get TH's on the first cell in each row.

I'm not sure how new the correct conversion of the "First Column"
setting into TH's is. That's the first time I've really noticed it
working correctly. But the behaviour described above is I think what one
would hope if everything was working correctly?

If I use the built-in MS Word conversion engine via the Export and
"Create PDF/XPS Document" feature, then I seem to get the same results
as described above. The only difference is that when you use the MS
conversion engine, the header row is nested inside a THead tag and the
rest of the table is nested inside a TBody tag. The current Acrobat
conversion engine does not insert THead or TBody tags.
