What’s a Tweetup?
A tweetup is a real world social gathering for people who know each other through the online Twitter service. This is an opportunity for Twitter users to meet in person, network, and have fun. We’ll provide light refreshments and short presentations on social media and accessibility.
Not a Twitter user?
You should be. It’s easy and fun. Simply create a new account and then find people to start following. When they post updates (or Tweets), you’ll see their updates on the Twitter site. You can post as much or as little as you like – you’re just limited to 140 characters.
I joined Twitter just a couple months ago and it has quickly become an invaluable networking and information tool. I have learned a tremendous amount about web accessibility from the people I follow. I’ve made connections with many people that are passionate and informed about accessibility.
If you’re not yet ready to join Twitter, but would like to attend the Tweetup and see what it’s all about, just let us know at 2009@csuntweetup.com.
