Before committing development resources to implement microformats.org
microformats it is advisable to check out these posts:

I think the semantic web will have a lot of impact on accessibility in
the future. "Future" is of course what we all are waiting for so
microformat initiatives are welcome.

Currently, I have not seen anything that make web pages with
microformats more accessible than other webpages. If anyone knows of
software that makes use of microformats for accessibility purposes it
would be great to learn more.
