Hello:
Actually this vary on witch keyboard and device you are using. For
example my note 2 with the kiie keyboard does speak the passwords even
without the head set. I need this when my headset is out of range or not
working.

password creation?

I wouldn't think the last one would be problematic for people using
Talkback or any other screen reader since the user can opt either to mask
or unmask the password. Also, unless it has changed, I think Talkback
doesn't speak the password unless the user has the earphone jack plugged
in.

Thanks,
Tim

creation?

We're having a discussion about which is the better method when creating a
password for an account on an android mobile device.

Considering accessibility, usability and security, which would be the
better option:

1) two fields - password and confirm password

2) password field and a show password checkbox which will display the
password rather than displaying asterisks

It seems that the latter would be more usable for mobility and cognitive
issues, but there may be security concerns for talkback users.

Any advice would be appreciated.
