If the screen reader is shifting into focus mode, toggling the mode (NVDA key+spacebar) should put you back into browse mode and your navigation should be restored.

Subject: [WebAIM] up/down arrow navigation in NVDA
Hi all,
anyone else experience issues where you sometimes can and sometimes can't navigate a page using the up and down arrows in NVDA and Firefox? I was testing something today and the same page worked fine before, but now the arrows make the page scroll. I also went to a WebAIM page and the same thing happened. Is there a setting in NVDA that I need to adjust?
Thanks,
Mike
