It bears repeating: after "pulling in" alt text from image metadata, make
sure to edit the alt text so it's appropriate for the context
<https://www.w3.org/WAI/tutorials/images/decision-tree/>, for example where
the image appears in a web page or PDF.

IPTC recently added
<https://iptc.org/news/iptc-announces-new-properties-in-photo-metadata-to-make-images-more-accessible/>
the
"Alt Text (Accessibility)" and "Extended Description (Accessibility)" image
metadata fields. (Tip of the hat to Caroline Desrosiers at CSUN
<https://www.csun.edu/cod/conference/sessions/2022/index.php/public/presentations/view/2318>.)
Where supported in authoring tools
<https://iptc.org/standards/photo-metadata/software-support/>, content
creators no longer have to overload the Description metadata field — but
still must edit for context.
