Just based on your description, it doesn't go against WCAG.

My first thoughts on that matter would be that, A blind voice over or talk back user would be unfamiliar with the application.
Thus not know where he is on the screen.
Things need to have a logical semantic structure for screen reader users to navigate efficiently.
