There are two ways to do this:

For shorter documents, you can create styles like "Heading 1 Chapter 1" using the same formatting, just creating different heading style names.

When generating the TOC, you can go into the Options button in the Customize/Create Table of Contents and choose which headings to use.
For longer documents, you can use Bookmarks and field codes. Don't worry, it is an easy process.

The sound on the video is not good and I didn't see captions.

I can send samples if you like and am going to update my Customized Table of Contents to show this as an option. I do have a sample of TOCs for each chapter but not in the main TOC for the existing tutorial. I just created one using Bookmarks and have attached it to this post. Hopefully it gets through..

Cheers, Karen

Subject: [WebAIM] TOC with headings?

Hi,
I have a TOC where there are headings above the text and page numbers.

I've tried a couple alternate TOCI tags, but JAWS announced these as links when they are not. Is there any workaround?
