Of course. Is there a right answer? No, not really.

Off the top of my head, the reasons TO go with fixed-width would be:
- some control over text line-lengths
- some better control over overall page layout
- can make design/develompent a bit less work
Whether these pros outweigh the benefits of a flexible-width layout is
another question and is dependant on the particulars of the specific site.
