Hi all

I am attending the Access U and CSUN, and saw some of your names on
the instructor list.
It wwill be great to meet up with you at last (though I met a few of
you at ICCHP two years ago).
I was wondering if anyone else from this list was going, especially if
there is interest in a lunch or dinner get-together.

Also if someone is staying at or near the Portovista hotel it would be
fun to walk to and from sessions together (not necessary, but
entertaining).
Since this is an accessibility oriented event I thought it'd be ok to
post it here. If there is a dedicated Access U discussion board of
mailing list, please let me know (I did not see one at a glance).

Thanks to all, looking forward to this immensely.

As in previous years, the conference has a presence on social media. For
those so inclined, you can see some of the folks who are attending, and
indicate you are participating in three ways:
- you can add the conference to your LinkedIn profile http://linkd.in/vxZ3Gg
- you can indicate you are attending on Facebook
http://www.facebook.com/events/151443038253590 and
- you can RSVP on Lanyrd http://www.lanyrd.com/2012/csun.

If you are on Twitter, the hashtag for conference-related chat is #csun12.

Brilliant

Thanks very much, I will add all of these.

I think you will find that many familiar names from this list will be there
(and we will be missing those that cannot join us) and so over the 3 days
there are many opportunities to meet up with fellow members of "The Tribe".
If you have not already done so I highly recommend you sign up and plan to
attend the tweetup on Thursday (http://csuntweetup.com/) - it's your best
opportunity to meet new friends and catch up with old ones.

I don't want to speak for WebAIM, but I suspect they are ok with it <smile>.

See you there!

Birkir and others who may be interested in Knowbility's AccessU:

In addition to the helpful responses you've already received from
Jennison and John regarding the CSUN Tweetup and other ways to
connect about CSUN generally, if you're on Twitter, you might want to follow:

@knowbility.
http://www.twitter.com/knowbility

Knowbility is holding the two-day AccessU pre-conference in
collaboration with CSUN. See below for the link to a series on the
Knowbility blog about the presenters.

For those of you who may be interested in Web accessibility training,
especially, for example, if you have colleagues in California who
might be able to travel to San Diego easily, two good links to share are:

http://knowbility.createsend1.com/t/ViewEmail/r/500A79562C252C39

and

http://blog.knowbility.org/content/category/accessu/csun-2012/speakers/

As I understand it, plans are well underway for John Slatin AccessU
to be held from May 15 to 17 in Austin, so those who are interested
may want to save those dates if you can't make it to CSUN.

I'll also mention, because I think we've got a lot of great
opportunities for training in our community, that WebAIM will be
holding it's own training in Utah from March 28 to 29. You can read
more about that here:

http://webaim.org/training/

Best to all as we each seek opportunities to increase our knowledge
and improve our skills.
