Hi John

I wish JAWS would stay relatively the same as well, I have new
features that drive me nuts an I cant turn them off, at least I cant
find out where to turn them off if it is even possible.

I think the solution to your second point is to make them degrade
gracefully. :O) I know many people who are still using lower versions
than mine and wont be upgrading any time soon.

I'm all for progress, I have started incorporating Rol Landmarks in
my sites even though not many are aware of them or can appreciate
them, so I still offer a skip link for those who need them.
