"does anyone know the state's take on 508 compliance? Just curious about
california's interpretation of 508 law."
ADA Section 508, Title III, still only covers federal government web sites
and institutions that receive federal funding like universities. So it
doesn't really apply to corporate web sites. Yet. Although, that's
definitely coming soon.
However, in California we do have other pieces of legislation that we think
do apply to the accessibility of corporate web sites. One of them is the Unruh
Civil Rights Act <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unruh_Civil_Rights_Act>.
