Dona,

Did you test it with NVDA? I know that we found a bug related to JAWS with
our PDF team. Everything was being read properly with NVDA, but JAWS would
not announce the first column.

When we exported the PDF to HTML and XML, everything was semantically
correct. So we had to file a bug with FS regarding this.

Subject: [WebAIM] Acrobat dropping some table cell properties

I think Acrobat is gaslighting me. I have recently remediated two PDF files
that contained some complex tables to which I added id and headers
attributes. After saving (as) the file the id attributes have remained but
the associated headers and the row/column span attributes have disappeared.

I know these attributes were there just an hour ago because I ran it through
JAWS to make sure it was reading properly and made some fixes, always saving
(as).

This is not the only time I have seen this either and I think it has
happened to colleagues.

Is this a software bug? Perhaps something is wrong with my installation of
Acrobat professional?

Has anyone else seen this happen?

Thanks for any feedback.

Dona
