Sean,

I was scratching my head wondering what "CAG" was but assume you mean WCAG, yes?

Is the intended use of this alternate access by a telephone worker who cannot hear?

What comes to mind are things like the alerts in iOS you can program to be on and notify you if it hears coughing, a knock on the door, running water and so on. Or the Merlin app to identify bird sounds it hears.

Hi all.

I have a requirement from one of our teams to identify if there is any CAG failures or best practise related to a Telco diagnostic page they are building. The page will have a play button to play an audio sound. The sound could be an Ring Tone, Audio engaged tone, etc. There will be instructions on the page to indicate what sound is being played. Does any of the 1.2.x requirements for caption kick in here for a telco dial tone diagnostic audio sample? Has anyone done anything like this before? Does anyone have best practise guidance here?
